Purpose/Duties

To raise funds, to preserve and restore the Administration Building/Hall of Justice complex including landscaped grounds. The five (5) Board of Supervisors’ appointees shall become a standing committee of the Conservancy Board of Directors continuing the responsibilities to advise the Board of Supervisors regarding the maintenance of the Civic Center complex consistent with the Civic Center’s status as a National and State Historic Landmark, and to review projects which would affect the appearance of the Civic Center.

Number of Members

Directed by a Board of Directors of up to fifteen members, five of which shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors (the fifth appointment shall be a member of the Board of Supervisors) and the remaining members selected by the Board of Directors of the Conservancy.

Reimbursements For Expenses/Per Diem

Beginning October 1, 2022, a stipend will be available for members of boards and commissions who self-certify to household income below the County self-sufficiency standard. For more information or to  apply to the stipend program, see the Board Stipends Program Webpage.

Time and Day of Meetings

2nd Wednesday of every month (except November and December when a special meeting date will be announced) from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, at the Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael, Call 473-6358.
