Purpose/Duties

To oversee implementation of the Marin County Integrated Pest Management policy and plan, advise and make recommendations to the IPM Coordinator and Board of Supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

1 - Representative of Univ. of California experienced and educated in IPM practices; 1 - Representative of public health community with expertise and knowledge in the effects of pesticide and chemicals on human health; 1 - Licensed pest control applicator or pest control advisor who is supportive of least-toxic IPM practices and is not a County employee; 5 - One appointed by each Marin County Supervisor. Each appointment represents the community at large, or a recognized environmental, and/or health organization; 1 - At-large, public member.

Reimbursements For Expenses/Per Diem

Beginning October 1, 2022, a stipend will be available for members of boards and commissions who self-certify to household income below the County self-sufficiency standard. For more information or to apply to the stipend program, see the Board Stipends Program Webpage.

Time and Day of Meetings

The Commission meets on the 4th Friday of January, April, July and October. For additional information regarding meeting times and place, please call 473-5085.
