Purpose/Duties
To study problems, consult with the Board of Supervisors, prepare information, advise and counsel residents as well as County, State, and Federal officials concerning matters related to discrimination against women and the violation of women's rights. It may also conduct hearings and recommend improvements in related programs.

Eleven representatives are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, two from each Supervisorial District as well as one appointment from the County at large.
Reimbursements For Expenses/Per Diem
Limited reimbursement of expenses.
Beginning October 1, 2022, a stipend will be available for members of boards and commissions who self-certify to household income below the County self-sufficiency standard. For more information or to apply to the stipend program, see the Board Stipends Program Webpage.
