Purpose/Duties

To administer the Marin County Employees' Retirement Association for County employees and contracting districts. The Association is concerned with the administration of retirement benefits, the investment of Association assets and the actuarial funding of the retirement programs.

Qualifications

Members of this board are categorized as follows: 4 members appointed by the Board of Supervisors, (1 member may be a Supervisor), 2 members are elected by the miscellaneous employees, 2 members are elected by the retiree members (1 as an alternate), 2 members are elected by the safety members (1 as an alternate), the County Treasurer serves as ex-officio member.

Nine (including ex-officio member) and three alternates

Reimbursements For Expenses/Per Diem

$100 per meeting (for non-employees only), maximum five meetings per month.
