Purpose/Duties

The Peace Conversion Commission was created by Marin County's voter-enacted Nuclear Free Zone law. It enforces the law that prohibits the County of Marin's investments in, or purchases of civilian products and services from Nuclear Weapons contractors and their subsidiaries, unless no reasonable alternative exists. Reimbursements For Expenses/Per Diem

Beginning October 1, 2022, a stipend will be available for members of boards and commissions who self-certify to household income below the County self-sufficiency standard. For more information or to apply to the stipend program, see the Board Stipends Program Webpage.
