Purpose/Duties
The Advisory Board reviews referrals of all Planning projects in the Bel Marin Keys planning area for the Planning Department, including Master Plans, Subdivisions, Design Reviews, Rezoning applications proposed, General Plan amendments and Environmental Review documents. In addition, the Board conducts public meetings as needed to review such projects, adopt recommendations and transmit them to the Planning staff, Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors for their consideration. Five members are the Bel Marin Keys Community Services District Board and two members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Qualifications
The Board shall be composed of: (1) five members who are the elected membership of the Bel Marin Keys Community Services District (or their designated alternative approved by the Board of Supervisors), and (2) two members who shall be residents of Bel Marin Keys with an expressed interest in land use planning and environmental issues.
